Dim Sum Near Burbank — Studio City's Best, Minutes from Disney & Warner Bros.

Burbank runs on long days. Early call times, late pickups, lunch breaks squeezed between scenes or shifts. If you’re working at Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, or any of the production companies that fill the Burbank media corridor, or if you live in Burbank and want proper food within striking distance,  Shanghai Rose is your place.

We’re in Studio City, just over the hill on Ventura Blvd. From the main Burbank studio lots, you’re looking at 10–15 minutes depending on which pass you take. From residential Burbank, it’s quick and worth every minute.

Why Burbank Comes to Shanghai Rose

Burbank has grown into one of the most densely creative zip codes in the country, and the people who work there eat seriously. Production crews, animators, executives, writers’ room staff: these are not people who settle for mediocre food on a lunch break. Shanghai Rose has built a reputation as the dim sum destination for industry workers in the eastern Valley corridor for exactly that reason.

  • Lunch service starts 11:30 AM — early enough for industry lunch breaks
  • Full dim sum menu available at dinner — perfect for wrap parties and team dinners
  • Happy hour Mon–Fri, 3–6 PM — ideal for post-shoot unwinding
  • Private dining for production company events and corporate lunches
  • 100% Hong Kong-trained kitchen staff — this is the real thing
  • Open kitchen — your guests see the craft, not just the result

Burbank is Disney/WB territory, and it means something that crew members make the short drive to Studio City specifically for our dim sum on their days off. We’re also a go-to for the Burbank residential community, families who want something better than mall-court Chinese food on a Saturday afternoon.
